There are now 2 Ways to Celebrate surviveHEADSTRONG!!!

A modified “Live” surviveHEADSTRONG has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2020

OR
A (semi)Virtual surviveHEADSTRONG provides another way to celebrate in the comfort of your home.

This has been a year of adaptation, but
together through surviveHEADSTRONG we will
show how great the brain injury community is—
that each inch, is an inch toward recovery from brain injury!

Each year, surviveHEADSTRONG is the largest gathering of the San Diego brain injury community. This year, even with event modifications for COVID-19 safety reasons, it will still be the biggest celebration of the achievements of survivors and their families and friends as they all take steps on their journey to recovery from brain injury—through both virtual activities and the modified event at Mission Bay Park on Sunday, Sept, 20. Whether you walk, roll or are just there to cheer the others on, it is a day where we all ACHIEVE MORE TOGETHER!

November 2019 Friday Night Liberty
Featured Artist: Ryan Olson
Come out on Friday, November 1 to support our featured artist, Ryan Olson, at the Liberty Station, November Friday Night Liberty Event.

You can find out more about Ryan’s recovery and the resources that the San Diego Brain Injury Foundation offer to survivors and their families.

Ryan sustained a Severe Traumatic Brain Injury 3 years ago in a motorcycle accident. His family was told by doctors that he would never wake up from a coma, and if he did, would never walk, talk or have any “Quality of Life.” Ryan is the definition of a survivor and with lots of hard work and determination is fighting the odds! He was an artist before the accident. His creativity and passion for art was the one thing he was most grateful to regain over a year after the accident. Art is very therapeutic for Ryan, sharing it with the community is what drives him to keep moving forward. Ryan brings Quality to Lives of many with his paintings!

November 1, 5—8 pm
Liberty Station
2730 Historic Decatur Road
Barracks 16, #205, San Diego, CA 92106
