Online SDBIF Day of Art for Survivors

DATE: Friday, July 16, from 10am-12pm
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Monday, July 8

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

Our Day of Art event is an opportunity for brain injury survivors to engage with creation of art projects in a variety of mediums. Survivors will learn basic art techniques during Day of Art that they can use even after the event is completed. It will also provide a positive environment where survivors can connect with peers—something that is increasingly important during these times of increased social isolation.

Participants must have registered by JULY 8, because they will be mailed an art kit for the event—this means the participants do NOT have to buy their own supplies!!! Veltz Fine Art and LoveJoy Creations will provide professional art instruction to event participants.

Registration is now closed. If you have any questions, please contact SDBIF at either 619-294-6541 or info@sdbif.org.

Here is the painting that will be completed during this class

with Veltz Fine Art and Lovejoy Creations

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED…ALL SPACES HAVE BEEN FILLED

If you have already registered, you are all set. You will receive an email with the link to join the meeting.

SDBIF is holding our June 2021 Survivor Peer Support Group via Zoom on Friday, June 25th from 2:00pm to 3:30pm (PST). This group provides a safe forum for survivors to share concerns, challenges, triumphs and strategies with a group of peers. We have a loose topic for this group discussion, but this is NOT a traditional speaker group. Since this is a support group, we will have time to “check in” with everyone and chat about how everyone is doing and coping. Kurt Buske, a social worker and Executive Director of SDBIF, will be facilitating this group.

Space is limited to 15 participants—and we have filled all the spaces!!

Thank you and see you soon!!!
