Day of Art for Brain Injury Survivors

SDBIF is having another Day of Art for Brain Injury Survivors led by Lovejoy Creations!!!

Our Day of Art event is an opportunity for brain injury survivors to engage with creation of art projects in a variety of mediums. Survivors will learn basic art techniques during Day of Art that they can use even after the event is completed.

Registration is now closed for the January date. There are 20 spots available, so we ask that if you find out that you will not be able to make it on January 17, please contact SDBIF as info@sdbif.org or (619)294-6541 to let us know to release your spot for another survivor.

Here are the dates for the upcoming Day of Art events:
In-Person JULY 18 — Register by JULY 7, CLICK HERE
Online OCTOBER 18 — Register by OCTOBER 7, CLICK HERE

You do not need to bring your own brushes or art supplies. LoveJoy Creations will provide professional art instruction to event participants.

TOPIC: Frequently Asked Questions About Brain Injury
Heike and the audience will first explore the common myths about brain injury, such as “You look fine, therefore you are fine” and more. We’ll then tackle frequently asked questions about brain injury that survivors are confronted with; for example “When are you going to get better?” or “Why do you remember some things and not others?”, among others. We’ll also discuss how to create and practice “scripts” on how to best answer these questions in a way that helps you feel comfortable and competent!
